Welcome back for part two of my recommended reads for October/Halloween!! Like I said in Part I, this is one of my favorite months with all the themed reads you can read. And I'm excited to share more good books with you. Part two is definitely filled with more mystery and zombies than Part one, but they are all great and I hope I can recommend some more great books for you this month!
The Three Dark Crowns Series by Kendare Blake:
I think this is perfect for this month. Like the titles state, this series is a bit dark. I was a bit surprised going into it how dark some part were. However, its a really good story. I'm actually reading One Dark Throne and Two Dark Reigns this month for my themed reads. And if you need some convincing to check these out, go check out Feed Your Fiction Addiction. Nicole loves this series and has some great posts about it! :)
The Charlotte Holmes Series by Brittany Cavallaro:
So despite that these covers look fun and contemporary, these are actually mystery novels. Our main characters are descendants of the Holmes and Watson families. And they team up to solve crimes (usually that they are being framed for). Its fantastic! Charlotte definitely has the demeanor of a Holmes and its just so much fun to follow along and see her reason things out. Definitely a fun read for October.
