The 2020 Retellings Reading Challenge is hosted by Tracy @ Cornerfolds! This challenge will include monthly group reads and retelling bingo! #2020RetellingsChallenge
CHALLENGE LEVELS:
Silent Assassin: 1-5 Retellings
Warrior Princess: 6-10 Retellings
Elemental Witch: 11-15 Retellings
High Fae: 16-20 Retellings
Fairest of them All: 21-25+ Retellings
So my aim again is High Fae. And I'm super excited with the prompts on the bingo board. Some I already have some great ideas for, others I'm excited to find some retellings of. I'm carrying over a few from last year since I didn't read a whole lot.
A Few Retellings I Already Plan To Read:
1. Last of Her Name by Jessica Khoury (Anastasia based retelling)
2. Romanov by Nadine Brandes (Anastasia retelling)
3. Sherwood by Meagan Spooner (Robin Hood based retelling)
4. Hunted by Meagan Spooner (Beauty & the Beast retelling)
Bingo:
Levels:
Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5
Weekend Warrior (I’m getting the hang of this) 5-10
Stenographer (can listen while multitasking) 10-15
Socially Awkward (Don’t talk to me) 15-20
Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30
My Precious (I had my earbuds surgically implanted) 30+
Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands) 50+
So even though I didn't read a lot last year, over half of what I did read last year ended up being in audio format. I really love audiobooks now. So I feel like 30+ should be easy for me to hit in a year!
