For younger kids, Joanna Cole. She wrote a bunch of The Magic School Bus books. My daughter loves them and I love the books too. For older kids. Ann M. Martin. I'm sure most people recognize that name. The Babysitters Club. I loved those books when I was a kid! I was always checking them out from the library at school to read them.
