Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Its a way to get out there and meet new bloggers and discover new blogs. :)
Q. Have you ever wanted a villan to win at the end of a story? If so, which one??
In most stories no. Except kinda in The Vampire Diaries. Yes, I know. A lot of my answers include The Vampire Diaries. But in The Vampire Diaries for the longest time Damon was made out to be the bad guy but I've always been on Team Damon. I would love to see him win. What can I say, bad boys are hot.
Q. Many of us primarily read one genre of books, with other sprinkled in. If authors stopped writing that genre, what genre would you start reading? Or would you give up reading completely if you couldn't read that genre anymore?
First of all I have to say I would NEVER give up reading completely. That'd be impossible. I've loved reading since like the 3rd grade. I'd never give it up. Lol. Seeing as I mainly read Young Adult books, if they stopped making those I'd probably start reading just Adult books. And probably anything else I find interesting. I'm very adaptable in what I read. I read books based on if the book interests me, not based on genre. It just so happens that most of the books I find that interest me right now are Young Adult.

Here's my FF answer http://wefancybooks.blogspot.com/2011/09/feature-follow-friday.html
Hi!--New follower!
ReplyDeleteOooh--Damon!!!--Great answer!!! I'm a huge L.J. Smith fan!!! (although I'm undecided on if I'm going to watch the Secret Circle--that was my favorite trilogy...and it looks like the tv show cuts the characters in half!)--Have you read Cate Tiernan's Sweep series?--One of my favorites, and they reminded me a lot of The Secret Circle when I first read it! :)
--As for me, I usually root for the good guy, but I've been reading A Game of Thrones, and as much as I <3 the Starks, I can't help but root for Tyrion!--It's not his fault he was born a Lannister!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! New follower stoppin' by!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that no one who truly loves reading would stop blogging because they stopped publishing in a certain genre. :-) There are simply too many options out there. And hey, even if they stop, I'm sure there are plenty of older books that I haven't read yet!

I could never give up reading either. I can't imagine being one of those people who look at readers like they are insane. I look at those people like they are insane!

I couldn't imagine living in a world where YA lit didn't exist O_O
Here’s my Hop and FF
I chose Damon too. I have a lot of comments saying they have seen that answer a lot, but you are the first person I have came across who also said Damon. How can you not want Damon to win? Really. LOL!

There are so many different things to read even if new books in a favorite genre stopped being published. Please come see what I would read.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're adaptable in what you read--you'll never run out of things to read! New follower! Here's my hop, if you want to stop by.
ReplyDeleteTeam Damon all the way! lol Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday!
ReplyDeleteNew Follower here, visiting from Crazy for Books... My preferred genre is YA too and if they stopped publishing it i probably wouldn't stop reading, but i would read a lot less and write a lot more, even if it was just for myself. I'm admin over at peaceloveyalit.blogspot.com. I'd love for you to come visit when you get a chance!
