TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by Dani@RefractedLight, Anayami@Whatever You Can Still Betray & April@Books4Juliet.
The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Last weeks TBR book:
I did finally read it! I really really enjoyed it! Definitely wanting Before I Wake now! I have no idea when I'll have my review up for you guys though! I'm like 4 reviews behind and at the moment If I Die's review is 4th in line. So maybe by next weekend? Oh, and remember my trip? I had a ton of fun on it! I'll be making a post about it (probably on my personal blog though) and I'll post the link to it so you guys can check out the fun I had at the Lake!
This week I'm committing to read:
When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.
I've had this on my shelf for probably about 7 months at least? I've been wanting so badly to read it but I just haven't made the time. And quite honestly I'm sick of looking at it and wishing I could fit it in. Now I'm making room for it! Lol.

This week I'm committing to read:
Lola and the Boy Next Door
Author: Stephanie Perkins
Blurb from Goodreads:
Budding designer Lola
Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more
expressive the outfit -- more sparkly, more fun, more wild -- the
better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted
daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything
is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the
dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

Yay! Congrats on finishing Until I Die, andI hope you get a chance to get caught up on reviews. I totally understand how THAT goes :P
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Lola this week. It sounds like a really cute story :)
I am glad that you enjoyed it! Someone already ordered Before I Wake for me, so I'm expecting it to arrive some time... SOON (i hope). I wish to join in the mini-challenge at Fiktshun but I'm not sure if I have the book by then.
ReplyDeleteLola and the Boy Next Door is one of my most fave contemporaries. I loved Anna and the French Kiss better than this one but they are both really really good. I hope you'll like it! I ove Stephanie Perkins books! Good luck!
