TBR Intervention Challenge [#19]

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by Dani@RefractedLight, Anayami@Whatever You Can Still Betray & April@Books4Juliet.

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Here are the rules:

1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).

2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.

3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.

4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.
Last weeks TBR book:
Hex Hall
Author: Rachel Hawkins

So I finished the book! I enjoyed it! But remember how I was going to read Demonglass right after it? Well, yet again, someone put a hold on it. I dont get it, why do people have to suddenly put a hold on a book when I have it??? It seems to be happening a lot lately. Lol. So I'm gonna hold of posting my review on Hex Hall until I'm able to get Demonglass again so I can post my reviews together like I planned.

This week I'm committing to read:
The Iron King
Author: Julie Kagawa

Summary from Goodreads:
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.
Ok, so I waited until I owned the entire series to start this because so many people love this series and I didnt want to be stuck in a frenzy trying to get the next one. Lol. So last month I finally bought The Iron Knight so I finally own the whole series and I can finally start it! I'm excited to get into another great Fae series!

  1. I have been meaning to read Hex Hall and Demonglass (which I own) for so long. Goodness I need to dig them out and get them done because everyone keeps telling me how wonderful they are!

    1. FYI--I mentioned you on my blog as one of the blogs I think is lovely. :)

  2. Yay! So glad you finished the book, but I'm sorry Demonglass got snatched! And that's gutsy, buying the whole series before you know if you're going to like it or not! I got The Iron King as one of my way-too-many Borders closeout books, and have been waiting for an opportunity to read it, so I can't wait to see what you think! :)

    Good luck this week! :)

  3. I have these two on my TBR list and both sound amazing. Julie Kagawa series released an novella for valentines on her blog. It'sabout this series. I didn't read it yet, but already downloaded my copy.

    Happy Reading!

  4. Yes! Iron Fey! You're so going to love it. I look forward to your comments next week, so we can gush and discuss it together!

Also, I hope you can get your demonglass copy un-held soon, so that we get to see your hex hall review!

    Happy reading

Ron @ Stories of my life

  5. I'm really glad that you enjoyed Hex Hall. Good luck with Demon glass! It ends with a cliffhanger and I am so anxious to get Spellbound asap. I loved Iron King but haven't read the rest of the series. Good luck with it! I hope you'll love it too =)

Feel free to leave comments :) I like hearing from everyone.
