Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. It was created due to their love of lists.
This weeks topic is:
Top Ten (Eerrr.. 7) Books That Would Make Great Book Club Picks
1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - This book is just amazing. Especially if your say doing dystopian novels, this would be a great pick.
2. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - This book... It really makes you stop and think about how you treat the people around you or how you've been treated by the people around you. Its a powerful, emotional read (at least it was for me).
3. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - This book is just an all around fun read. I mean its one of those books that you cant help but love and wanna buy a copy of for everyone to read.
4. Divergent by Veronica Roth - Another book that should definitely be a book club pick, especially if you're a fan of The Hunger Games and want more dystopian. :D
5. The Host by Stephenie Meyer - Ok, I'd just make this a pick to show everyone that all of Stephenie Meyers books are not like Twilight. (This one happens to be loads better!)
6. Any John Green book. Lol. This is pretty much self explanatory.
7. The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith - This is just a cute short contemporary that would be great for a group that doesnt have much time on their hands but wants a FANTASTIC read! Like seriously, its fantastic, even if you stopped believing in love at first sight it makes you want to. LOL.

I loved The Hunger Games and Anna and the French Kiss - good picks given others would probably enjoy them. I'm planning on reading Divergent pretty soon too!
ReplyDeleteGood list!
Tara @ Hey, Tara
I've only read the Hunger Games series from your list - and totally agree - they should be read by all :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I've only read Hunger Games and Divergent but I heard about most of the others and they sound awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love your choices especially The Hunger Games, Divergent, Anna, and Thirteen Reasons Why. John Green is awesome as well.

Awesome list! I picked some of these too. I haven't read any John Green (can you believe it?), but he is making lots of lists today. I think I will take that as I sign that I should read at least one of his books!

Ha, our lists are so similar! The only one that I don't have is The Host and since I'd only read 1 John Green book, I was specific about it. Reading TFioS now though and if that's anything to go by, I agree- anything by him is a good choice!
ReplyDeleteBrittany!! I totally agree about Anna and the French Kiss!! You just need to love this book :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, great pick about Divergent and the Hunger games!
The statistical probability of love at first sight is so cute! I loved it!
And you really got me interested in Thirteen Reasons Why!! I will read it! Thanks for sharing! :) ;)
I still want to read The Statistical Probability... Thanks for the club read suggestions. Great list.

My Top Ten...
I 100% agree that The Host was better than any of SM's other books. I enjoyed it so much. I felt like I was being torn away anytime I couldn't read it! Great picks this week! :)
