Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality as a way to share all the books we got during the week!

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. Its a weekly post to showcase what books you got, recap the week, and talk about what will be coming up this week on the blog!

No New Books This Week!!

It was hard guys. I almost bought War Storm by Victoria Aveyard and A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas. But I held out! I'm trying not to buy either until I'm caught up in both series.

So this week I got all caught up on the Ember Quartet books! I really loved both of them! They were just so good! They pulled me in super fast and just kept me so engrossed in them with all the twists and turns! I also posted my May Wrap-Up + June TBR! Go visit my post and see! Long story short though. I had 15 books on my May TBR and read 12! Woot! I have 12 on this months and I'm hoping it'll go just as well! Go check it out and let me know if there's any of my June TBR picks you think I need to pick up ASAP!

This week Ana had a check up with her eye doctor. She says that the glasses are definitely helping her but we need to try and strengthen her right eye a little more since its still turning in some. So she's doing a patching treatment. For 3 hours a day she has to wear an eye patch over her left eye (the one that doesn't have an issue) to help make her right eye focus. She got some fun themed sticky eye patches and we also give her a mini reeses every time she keeps it on for an hour. Hopefully the patching treatment helps to strengthen her eye more. But both me and James and her doctor are happy that there is some progress from just the glasses already.

There's plenty of time to join the 2018 Dystopia Reading Challenge! The new link up will be going up on Tuesday. And the 2nd quarter update will go up on the 15th! You guys wanna know something? I've already hit my goal for it! I chose the 16+ books badge and I hit 16 books already! Woot! Guess that makes me a good leader to look up to for it right? Lol. Nah, I've just been enjoying a lot of dystopia the past few months. Lol.

Also, its the beginning of June! The June Read-Along of The Young Elites series by Marie Lu has officially started! If you guys have these books sitting around, pick them up and read them with me! The picture links to the post with more info! I'd love to have more people to discuss these books with as we read them!

  1. Aww, I feel bad for Ana. I have a lot of trouble with my eyes, and it’s frustrating to not be able to see well. Have a great week!

    1. We feel bad too! I have 20/20 vision but James has really bad vision. He's had glasses and now contacts since he was like 5. We were so hoping she'd get my vision. But she seems to have got something in between. She doesn't have my good vision, but her vision issues aren't as bad as James. So I guess that's something right? Have a great week as well!! :)

    1. Ya. She's being a trooper with it though! Yay! Right! I'm hoping to get a few books read this week I've had sitting on my shelves for a while. Because I know I'll be buying books in the next 2 weeks! LOL. Get a few read before buying some more! :)

    1. Yup. But I will have some the next two weeks. LOL. The calm before the new book storm. LOL. Yes. Very true. Her doctor is confident her eye will get better. She said there's a much better chance to correct her eye issues since we found it with her being 3 instead of like 5 or 6. Its easier to correct at her age.

  4. Awe, poor Ana, I hope the patch will help her eye. Help your week is a good one.

    1. Yeah. I hope it does too. Her eye seems to focus more with the patch on so hopefully with 2 months of doing the patch treatment it helps strengthen it. Hope your week is good as well!

  5. No new books, impressive! I really hope the eye treatment works for her - my boyfriend actually has a lazy eye because I guess it didn't work all the way in his childhood. But even if it doesn't, it's not a huge problem for him right now. He doesn't even wear glasses all the time.

    1. Yes! Lol. Its the calm before I buy some books in the next two weeks! Lol. That's not bad. My fiance (Ana's dad) has some big vision issues. He's had an astigmatism all the way into adulthood so his vision seems to keep getting worse. Luckily it seems like Ana just got something in between my good vision and his bad vision. So its not too bad. Her eye doctor seems confident we can get it corrected since she's only 3. She said its really good we caught it now instead of at age 5 or 6 where it would be harder to correct.

  7. Glad the glasses are helping and hopefully the patch helps too! Sounds like Ana is being a trooper at least! Thats gotta be tough for her.

    1. Yes! It was definitely a relief to hear that the glasses are helping some even though she still needs the patch to help strengthen it more. She is! We're trying to make it as fun and stress free as we can. She's got a bunch of different colored/designed patches so that helps her have fun picking which one to wear. And the piece of chocolate definitely encourages her as well. We figured it'd be a nice treat for having to wear the patch when she's not too keen on it.

    1. We hope so too. Her eye doctor seems confident it will, so we're hopeful. She said its much easier to correct at Ana's age (3) instead of a few more years in the future. Thanks! You as well! :)

  9. Good job on holding off on those books! I don't have that kind of restraint! XD Good job on hitting your reading challenge goal!

    1. Yes! Lol. It was hard but I did it. LOL. I'm losing my restraint. LOL. I'm trying not to buy much until A Reaper At The Gates comes out. I'm saving some money specifically for that. Then I can relax a bit a buy some books. But Reaper comes first! LOL. Thanks! I'm so excited I hit it so early! And it's not the only challenge I already hit my goal for either. Woot! :)
