The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 14th and runs through Sunday, May 20th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 22 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

So my goal was to read 5 books and I got incredibly close to it, 4 1/2 books. I'm happy with this outcome! I'll finish the 5 book I was reading sometime Monday so not a big deal.

If you'd like to check out my updates, they are here:

The Books I Finished:

The 5th Book I Got Halfway Through:

So I flew through Glass Sword, Caraval & Legendary in the first 3 days. Thursday I took a bit of a break and read a few pages here and there. Friday I flew threw The Art of French Kissing. Saturday I was a responsible adult and did adult things like laundry and dishes and cleaning. LOL. And watching the Royal Wedding of course! It started at 4am on TV for me so I was up early. Lol. Jk. No I actually just stayed up all night and watched all the pre-wedding coverage and just went to bed earlier Saturday and slept til 11am Sunday to make up for it. It was worth staying up for though! I do not regret it! I watched Will & Kate's wedding in 2011 so I wasn't missing Harry & Meghan's! :)

But anyways. I got some solid reading in! And I watch a number of others get some successful reading in as well! Congrats to everyone that got some good reading done! :) The only thing I didn't get to do was participate in a Twitter chat. I completely spaced the timing on the first one and then I was sound asleep after staying up 24 hours during the second one. Next time I'll definitely make sure to get to chat in one of them!

And guys! 2 of my reads were NetGalley books that I got to knock off the pile! Score!!

I hope everyone had a successful Bout of Books! I can't wait til August for the next one! :)

  1. Congrats on your 4+ books! (Especially the NetGalley books, it's always extra nice to finish a book for review...)

    1. Thanks! And right! One of my main goals was to finish at least one NetGalley book but I'm so happy I got 2 done! :D
