Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Its a way to get out there and meet new bloggers and discover new blogs. :)

Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?

One of my fave series is the Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. I don't know what it is about those books but I love rereading them. I love the world Scott created in that series. I love the things they have to fight and overcome throughout the series. I also love how most of the characters grew too, not just a few. I'm also a big fan of dystopians so that another reason I keep reading them too.

I haven't reread this yet because I just read it for the first time and finished it today but also Divergent by Veronica Roth. I can tell I'm going to be rereading it a lot until the next book comes out and even after. And again, it goes along with my dystopian theme. Lol.

Book Blogger HopQ. As a blog reader, what information (besides the book review) do you like to see in other bloggers' reviews of books? (For example - Author bio, social media links, book synopsis from Amazon/Goodreads or one written by the blogger, page count, ISBN number, link to purchase, etc.)

I like to see a synopsis of the book, whether the blogger writes it or if its from amazon or goodreads. A synopsis in a review really helps the reader get the idea of the book, especially if they haven't read it before. I feel like the synopsis being there helps the reader understand just that much more some of the things you write in your review pertaining to the books. I also like to see links to purchase the books, yes I know, I don't currently do it myself but that's because I've been more focused on reading and writing my posts. Once I get caught up on reviews and reading then I'll go back and add links. It doesn't really bother me if there's social media links or not because I personally am following many authors on Twitter already and a number of author blogs.

  1. I'm also a huge fan of dystopian novels and Divergent is on my reread pile as well. I only have the first book in The Uglies series. I don't know why I haven't started it yet, it seems like my TBR pile is just so intimidating! I hear a lot of wonderful things about these books, plus they're dystopian! So I need to get on that!

  4. I LOVED Divergent, though I was a skeptic to read it (glad I did!).

New follower :) Thanks for the follow.

And I've heard SO much about the Uglies series (this is the third blog today that's mentioned it!) so I really need to check it out!

  5. Oh, I LOVE the Uglies series, though I just recently read it for the first time. I can definitely see it being a reread though... and I finally picked up Divergent from the library today!

PS, thanks for stopping by Almost Grown-up!

  6. Hey there,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting :) I read tHE Uglies trilogy and liked it right up until the end (I don't know why, but usually dystopian endings just don't satisfy me. The HUGE exception being The Hunger Games, of course lol). Anyway, Divergent is near the top of my TBR pile right now, and your review has once again reminded me why I need to go on and read it already. I hope I love it as much as you did.
    Have a great one,
