Review: Ok guys. This is meant to be one of those choose your own action books. So I got it as a gift and decided why not give it a try. Lol. I thought it was fun in the sense of getting to make your own decisions, not so much in the choices they give you department. I have to admit, some of the choices were kinda stupid honestly. Like you get to choose between exploring your apartment complex or hiding in one apartment the entire time. And if you explore you meet a pothead pretty much. The story is very linear with that pretty much having you join him in getting high until eventually a military helicopter sees your beer bottle help sign on the roof. Like what? You can't just explore, know there's someone else in your building whose pretty chill and do your own thing? While fun, the storylines were pretty linear and not changeable once you got on them. I think it would have been a little more fun if you had more options that could change your path.

Inside these pages lies unspeakable horror. Bloodsplattering, brain-impaling, flesh-devouring horror. You’ve probably read your fair share of zombie stories. But this time it’s different. No longer can you sit idle as a bunch of fools make all the wrong moves. All hell is about to break loose—and YOU have a say in humanity’s survival.
You have choices to make.
Moral dilemmas.
Strategic decisions.
Weapons. Vehicles.
Will you be a hero?
Or will you cover your own ass at all costs?
Can you withstand the coming hours, days, weeks, and months? Or will you die amidst the chaos and violence of a zombie uprising?
Or, worst of all, will you become one of them?

I also have to say some choices were kinda predictable. Like you could definitely tell some choices were going to lead to your death even without having a survival instinct. They were just that obvious. So it wasn't that hard most of the time to pick the right path to survive. I do have to admit, I've read actual zombie books that had better survival tactics and ideas than this. While this is a fun light make your own choice book, I feel like it definitely wasn't realistic in survival. But it is good for a fun little adventure around Manhattan with zombies!
