TBR Intervention Challenge [#15]

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by Dani@RefractedLight, Anayami@Whatever You Can Still Betray & April@Books4Juliet

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Here are the rules:

1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).

2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.

3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.

4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.
Last weeks TBR books:
Dark Flame
Author: Alyson Noel

Ok, so I'm not gonna post all three pics. Lol. So I finished both Halflings (which I enjoyed more than I thought I would), and Dark Flame. I liked Dark Flame a little more than Shadowland. It picked up just a little bit in Dark Flame. Not a lot, but enough to make me like it more than Shadowland. Lol. I'm currently reading Goddess Interrupted and right now I'm kind of enjoying it but I still feel like its in the same area I felt The Goddess Test was at. I'm hoping it gets better though since I'm not even halfway through the book yet. But you'll have to wait for my review of it until the end of February or early March.

This week I'm committing to read:
Vampire Academy
Author: Richelle Mead

Summary from Goodreads:
Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever...
Ok, I've had this on my shelf for probably at least a year now. I know a lot of people like this series, which is why I picked it up. It's just soon after I picked it up I got bored of Vampire books. It's been a while since I really read a vampire book so I'm definitely up for reading this now! And plus I keep hear awesome things about this series so I really wanna get started on it. Lol.

  1. Yay! So cool you could finish your books last week! I'm off to check your reviews now :)

Vampire Academy is one of those series that everyone keeps bringing up when talking about vampire books... I keep thinking that I might have to check it out. House of Night might take priority, though - and Mortal Instruments definitely comes first!

Ah... yes, a lot of series that need reading.

I hope you enjoy VA! Happy Reading!

  2. I am so glad to know that I am not the only person who has not read the Vampire Academy series yet. I want to--I really do but there are so many good books to read!

  3. Congratulations! And it's good that you liked Dark Flame. I have Halflings on my TBR and I plan to read it one day too. I got it from NetGalley. I've only finished Vampire Academy books 1-2 and soon I plan to read book 3. I enjoyed it but not as much as I expected to. I really hope you'll get to enjoy it even as much as I did. Good luck with your books! XOXO!
