In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa's powers for his own dark ends.

With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister's war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister himself knows their every move and that one of their own has betrayed them.

Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will; the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?

As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.

Review: **SPOILER WARNING** *I will let lose some spoilers so if you haven't read it don't read my review yet* Ok, first of all, lets get this out before I begin. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *throws book at wall* *picks books up, reads some more, **Happy face*then throws book at wall again!!*  I swear! I was on an emotional roller coaster reading this book! Especially closer to the end!!!! I mean seriously I was all happy one minute then throwing my book the next! Clockwork Prince left me seriously torn! I have to start out talking about the boys for once! Again, I repeat. I AM SERIOUSLY TORN! I was slightly on Team Jem coming into Clockwork Prince but through out the book I kept swaying back and forth! I absolutely love Jem! He is so freaking sweet! I mean how can you not like Jem? He's such a genuine sweet amazing guy! There was so many moments throughout the book I was grinning during moments between him and Tessa. But then there's Will! I love Will so much! I mean come on, Will Herondale is so freaking hot! Despite how much I loved the Jem and Tessa scenes I always found myself rooting for Will! I mean, I felt so bad for him for having to push people away! It always saddened me so much knowing how he really felt and that he wasn't able to show it! I mean I absolutely loved the moment Will and Tessa shared on the balcony! I loved that more than all the Jem and Tessa moments combined. So I guess that makes me Team Will officially now right? Omg! The End!!!! This was where my emotional roller coaster started going out of control! Jem and Tessa engaged!!!! I thought it was so sweet but inside I was screaming NO!!!!!!! Don't hurt Will!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!!! Especially after he found out he wasnt really cursed!!! It killed me!!!! I so badly want Will and Tessa together! (Sorry all of you on Team Jem.) I wanted to cry because of Will's reaction to Tessa telling him she's engaged to Jem!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that I got all that out, lets get down to the rest of the entire book! The magister aka Mortmain. First of all, I still find him creepy and disturbing. Second, I couldn't believe all the influence he had on people that were supposed to be allies of Will, Tessa & Jem. Jessamine! I couldn't believe she betrayed them for Nate! I honestly was only a little shocked about it but I desperately didn't want it to be true. I mean I get that she desperately didn't want to be a Shadowhunter but to betray them for Nate! AHHH!!!! Why? And then learning that Benedict Lightwood was under Mortmains control too! Wow! I'll admit I did love the blackmail Charlotte used on him after finding out the reason why he was letting Mortmain control him. I just absolutely loved it! And Gideon!!!! OMG!!! I cant believe what he did to his father! I mean his father deserved it after all the lies and the way he raised them but I still was shocked that he actually did it! Though I cant say I'm mad about it. Lol.

5 Stars!
