Find out more about June and Day in this never-before-seen glimpse into their daily lives before they met in Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND series. As twelve-year-olds struggling to survive in two very different worlds within the Republic’s stronghold, June was starting her first day of school at Drake University as the youngest cadet ever admitted, and Day was fighting for food on the streets of the Lake sector. LIFE BEFORE LEGEND contains two original stories written by Marie Lu that give readers a sneak peek into the lives of their favorite characters in a thrilling new context.

Review: I really enjoyed the short stories about Day and June. We see how Day got his first kiss which was definitely an interesting story. We also see how he gets into messing with the Republic. Now the stunt he pulled wasnt as elaborate as we see in the other books but it definitely showed us that even at a young age he wasnt afraid to take on the Republic. We also get to see how June is at a younger age. And how she had a massive attitude problem which was getting her into trouble back then. We see her on her first day at Drake University and how she got into a fight on her first day. I liked this book a lot because we got to see June and Day at a younger age but also still showing that they were like they currently are at a younger age.
