TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by Dani@RefractedLight, Anayami@Whatever You Can Still Betray & April@Books4Juliet.
Here are the rules:
1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).
Although she and Jude have only just met, he feels startlingly familiar. Despite her fierce loyalty to Damen, Ever is drawn to Jude, a green-eyed golden boy with magical talents and a mysterious past. She’s always believed Damen to be her soulmate and one true love—and she still believes it to be true. But as Damen pulls away to save them, Ever’s connection with Jude grows stronger—and tests her love for Damen like never before…
So I've had this book sitting on my shelf for probably a year now. I loved Evermore and Blue Moon so much!!! But idk what it is with this book but I keep struggling to keep myself interested in it. I've tried at least 3 times to read it but I only get a couple pages in before I get bored with it and pick up something else. I really wanna give this book another chance though because I loved the first two books and want to continue the series.
The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.
1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish
2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.
3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.
4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.
Last Weeks TBR Book:
Lock and Key
Author: Sarah Dessen
So I'm gonna keep this short and simple since I have a ton of blogging to do today. I enjoyed this book. And I'll have a review posted eventually. I cant give you a time on this one. Lol.
This week I'm committing to read:
Shadowland
Author: Alyson Noel
Summary From Goodreads:
Ever and Damen have traveled through countless past lives—and fought off the world’s darkest enemies—so they could be together forever. But just when their long-awaited destiny is finally within reach, a powerful curse falls upon Damen…one that could destroy everything. Now a single touch of their hands or a soft brush of their lips could mean sudden death—plunging Damen into the Shadowland. Desperate to break the curse and save Damen, Ever immerses herself in magick—and gets help from an unexpected source…a surfer named Jude.Although she and Jude have only just met, he feels startlingly familiar.

I'm glad you enjoyed Lock and Key. I hope my review shares some similarities on what you thought about the book.
ReplyDeleteI think we do share the same thoughts about Shadowland. We have something in common, right? Hehe. I read Evermore and Blue Moon three years ago. But when I read the first chapter of Shadowland, I lost interest, big time. I had to put the book down and picked it up after two weeks. I ended up finishing the book in three weeks (which was long for me since it usually takes me three days to finish a book, but not this one though). I do hope you give this book one last chance because it is a bridge to the rest of the story.
