Bout of Books
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Ok. So I'll admit it. Since the beginning of the year I've been in a slump. I had a lot going on in January and February so I was just to busy to get a huge amount of reading in. And the last 2 months, March and April, I've just been in a slump. I haven't even come close to the amount of books I normally read. I've only read a total of 20 books so far this year. That's like 5 books a month since the year started and I'll admit. I'm slacking! I'm 22 books behind in my reading goal for the year. So I gotta step it up. So why not put a dent in that 22 by doing a read-a-thon!!! (We know how much I enjoy read-a-thons!)

So my goals you ask? Well...

  • Read a total of 10 books total throughout the read-a-thon (if I can cut how many books I'm behind in by almost half I'll be happy!)
  • Actually post a daily update... I usually suck at posting an update daily so I'm gonna try really hard to actually do that.
That's all I can think of right now. I still need to pick out my read-a-thon books so I'll just post a list of the books I plan on reading when the read-a-thon starts.
