TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by Dani@RefractedLight, Anayami@Whatever You Can Still Betray & April@Books4Juliet

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

Here are the rules:

1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).

2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.

3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.

4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.

Last weeks TBR book:
Firelight
Author: Sophie Jordan

I finished it this week guys!!!! And guess what else! I really enjoyed it as well! For this being my first book involving Dragons/Dragon Descendants I really enjoyed it! Once I actually sat down and started reading it I didn't wanna put it down. Lol. Now I cant wait to get my hands on Vanish... If only I had some extra money. Lol. Well, here's my review of it: Review: Firelight by Sophie Jordan

This week I'm committing to read:
Beautiful Creatures
Authors: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl

Summary from Goodreads: Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Halo
Author: Alexandra Adornetto

Summary from Goodreads:
Three angels – Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, the youngest and most human – are sent by Heaven to bring good to a world falling under the influence of darkness. They must work hard to conceal their luminous glow, superhuman powers, and, most dangerous of all, their wings, all the while avoiding all human attachments.

Then Bethany meets Xavier Woods, and neither of them is able to resist the attraction between them. Gabriel and Ivy do everything in their power to intervene, but the bond between Xavier and Bethany seems too strong. Then comes the brooding and popular new transfer, Jake Thorn... who just so happens to be in Bethany's class. Something about Jake seems to be hiding something darker, something more powerful than expected. That thing, and Xavier, distracts Bethany to a point that Gabriel and Ivy are concerned.

The angel’s mission is urgent, and dark forces are threatening. Will love ruin Bethany or save her?

Yes, I'm committing to 2 books this week! First of all, I've had Beautiful Creatures since the end of August and since I have the second checked out from the library right now I wanna read the first book so I can obviously get to the second. Lol. And Halo, I've rechecked this book out from the library not once, but twice. I think its time to sit down and read it! Lol.

  2. Congrats on finishing Firelight. I think I am the only one who didn't finish this week. Multiple books this week. Wow! I did not pick a second but I guess I should have. I'm still working on The Year She Fell, (which is good I just have family in town). Have a good week. Good luck with the picks. I enjoyed Beautiful Creatures.

  4. I havent read Firelight but it's see, it's really good.
Good luck with Beautiful creatures, I want to read it, too.

And "more" good luck with Halo. I can't lie. I hated it, Bethany is the most annoying character I've ever seen... but that's what I think. Hope you like it!

  5. I haven't read HALO, but Lis didn't liked it. The cover is really beautiful and enticing but I'm not sure if I'm going to pick it up in the future. Beautiful Creatures is good but not that good for me... But it will be a movie soon so I want to read the next books in the series so I can catch up... I hope you'll enjoy it far more than I did. =)

  6. If you liked the way the dragons worked (sort of like shape-shifters) in Firelight, you might also want to check out Flying Blind (Dragon Diaries series) by Deborah Cooke.

I have Halo on my TBR shelf as well. Good luck with your challenge! Thanks for stopping by my WoW post earlier.
