It's Book Blogger Appreciation Week 2011.  Each year in September BBAW comes around to acknowledge and celebrate the work book bloggers do. Each day this week there will be a topic to blog about.

Today's Topic Is:  Reading and Blogging
"Book bloggers blog because we love reading. Has book blogging changed the way you read? Have you discovered books you never would have apart from book blogging? How has book blogging affected your book acquisition habits? Have you made new connections with other readers because of book blogging? Choose any one of these topics and share your thoughts today!"
I'm actually gonna write about two of the topics. The first one I'm gonna talk about is discovering books you never would have apart from book blogging. I have discovered so many amazing books that I just recently bought or put on my TBR list. Blogging has opened my eyes to so many new books I never would have heard of before. I mean I've expanded what I read on my own but I've pretty much double or tripled that since I started blogging. There are so many good books out there I never would have know existed if it weren't for other bloggers. I've also started buying more books online since I started blogging.

I have made new connections with other readers because of book blogging. I never realized just how many people like the same types of books I do. I've always felt kind of odd because besides me only 3 of my friends are really avid readers like me. It's amazing to meet new people and talk to new people who like the same kind of books as me. You have no idea how long I've waited to have conversations with people about books!!!!! I love books but I've never had other people to talk to them about really. It makes me so happy that I've been meeting other people who like books and who like to talk about them too. :D :D :D

And just for everyone to know your more than welcome to email me or follow me on twitter and message me with questions or just wanting to talk. I'm always open to talking to fellow readers and bloggers about books and even life. I like making new blogger friends. :)

  1. I was surprised by how many people liked the same books as me, too. When I wasn't blogging I didn't really know anyone...

  2. I know what you mean about not really having someone IRL to talk about books with! I was lucky to have a book-loving friend in middle school, but in high school/college it was a bit lonelier. (And I was an English major!)
